This section displays portraits especially shot by Mike Alsford for two Archant Life magazine titles, DEVON LIFE and SOMERSET LIFE.

Each month, a subject is chosen who has been in some way significant to the life of the two counties. In the case of Devon it is a stand-alone portrait with a deep caption, but the Somerset picture always illustrates an interview.
